Benny Pan from Media Display Equipment approached me a few months ago to try and sell me his range of banner stands and display equipment.

I normally don't like switching suppliers unless there is really good reason to, so I have to confess I wasn't particularly open to Benny's advance. Nevertheless, he'd taken the time to come out and see me, and he was very enthusiastic about his range of products. He even set up a couple of stands in the reception area. So I owed it to him to have a look.

My first thought was that these stands looked very much like the ones my usual supplier provided me with... and I was right. I had selected my previous supplier because their stands were good quality and robust, albeit a little more expensive. But Benny's stands were every bit as good, and not only that, but he had a greater range of products.

The clincher was when he showed me his price list. Better price, better range, same quality, better service. 3 improvements on my previous supplier with no downside - I would have been a mug not to make the change.
